Tate has been elected and is serving his second term as the Region VI Representative on The Board of Directors for \u201cThe National Council for Behavioral Health Inc.\u201d, in Washington DC where he represents behavioral health corporations from five states (AR, OK, TX, NM, and LA).\u00a0\u00a0 Tate concurrently has served on the Search Committee for the CEO, and serves as Chair of the Membership Committee.<\/p>\n
Tate is the current Vice-President of the Board of Directors for \u201cThe Oklahoma Behavioral Health Association\u201d, a trade association for behavioral health safety net providers operating across the state of Oklahoma. \u00a0Tate served as President from July 2015 to June 2018.<\/p>\n
Tate served on \u201cThe Board of Visitors\u201d for The School of Social Work at the University of Oklahoma, for over a decade.\u00a0 From 2008 to Present.\u00a0 He served as Vice-President and President of the BOV.\u00a0\u00a0 He volunteers on the scholarship and development committees.<\/p>\n
Tate serves on the Board of Directors for \u201cCount Me in for Kids\u201d and serves as the Chair for the Medical and Mental Health Committee.\u00a0\u00a0 July 2015 to Present.<\/p>\n
Tate serves on the Board of Directors of \u201cFreedom Oklahoma\u201d and previously served on its predecessor \u201cCimarron Alliance Foundation\u201d.\u00a0 He served two terms as Vice-Chair for \u201cCimarron Alliance Foundation\u201d.\u00a0 These organizations provide education and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ communities.<\/p>\n
Tate previously served two terms on the Board of Directors for \u201cThe Daily Living Centers, Inc.\u201d, an adult day health corporation serving aging individuals and those with memory and cognitive disorders.<\/p>\n
Tate is a member of the following organizations: Mental Health Corporations of America<\/p>\n
Tate is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a BA in Psychology and Master\u2019s Degree in Social Work.<\/p>\n
